"Destiny"

destiny.jpg

Hi, My name is Destiny.

I am a Husky.  My people looked around online and think I'm a Labrador Husky.  No, not a mix, but from Canada, eh?  Specially bred by the Inuit people.

My companions, Donna & Paul Rehman call me Destiny because I was already eight years old when they adopted me, and they had enough to do trying to keep me in the yard without teaching me a new name.   The lady calls me just 'White Dog', or sometimes 'Princess'.  She senses how special I am.  But also I think she feels silly yelling 'Destiny' out the back door.

Ssh...... don't tell Dr. Bell or Dr. Anderson but my favorite treat is peanut butter.  I get my pills with a little dab.   And I love bacon.  Oh, and the man drops bits of cheese, sometimes, that's real good too!

My age is about 10-1/2.

I am so special because  I am so mellow, sweet, and friendly.  I want to know about everything going on.  I'm more special now because I'm a rare tri-paw after an accident where my right leg was badly broken.  Dr. Kris did a good job fixing me up.  I'm still very zen, and have lots of friends at the doggy park.

Something funny that happened to me was when I ran faster at the dog park than before I lost my paw.  It thundered, and I beat the man to the gate.

My people love me so much that they brush my tail as little as possible.  I hate that.

I am so spoiled that I bark at my people and the other dogs to tell them to get off my couch.  Sometimes they do!

I have been a patient at Alta Sierra Veterinary Hospital for  two and a half years,  where  EVERYONE, but especially Fran,  gives me special attention when I come in for  my check-ups.
