Dr. Kristin Bell has been the owner of Alta Sierra Veterinary Hospital since 2008 and has practiced here in the White Mountains since 1996. She grew up in Tucson, graduated from the University of Arizona and then went on to Veterinary school at Colorado State University. (graduating in 1993) Living in the White Mountains had always been a dream for both she and her husband Troy, and they moved here in 1996. Troy is a firefighter and paramedic for Heber Fire department and they have 5 children and 4 perfect grandchildren.
This has been an amazing place to live and raise a family! Dr. Bell enjoys hiking with her Australian Shepard Saige, spoiling her 2 dachshunds Jenni and Nevins, taking care a cats, rabbit, chickens and ducks, traveling and spending time with family.
Lorakate Snyder DVM
Growing up on our family farm, animals were always a significant part of my life, so when family and friends started to ask what I wanted to be when I grew up, a veterinarian seemed the most logical answer. After studying at Cochise College (Douglas campus), followed by New Mexico State University in Las Cruces NM., and finally Colorado State University in Fort Collins CO. I was ready to begin my veterinary career in 2008!
Since then I have been blessed to work in several hospitals, learning and growing in each new setting.
Exploring the white mountains with my aging Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix “Cubby” is something I am excited about.
I also look forward to partnering with Dr. Bell, the Alta Sierra staff and our clients to care for Show Low area’s furry family members.
